    Converting

    Hello people on KSF!

I see often people converting maps from CSS to CS:GO or otherwise but I wonder is it possible to convert maps from 1.6 to css? I think some surf maps have very good potential!

    Thank you for helping

basicly what anonymous said, you could create a map based on 1.6 map, but you can't port maps cuz 1.6 uses goldsrc engine afaik

I'm sure there's even easier ways to port than this tutorial illustrates (Maybe with Sledge, the GoldSrc/Source combined map editor) but it's definitely possible. I'm not sure if anyone would want to though, because the physics are quite a bit different and there were a lot of limitations in GoldSrc that hindered surf mapping. Probably better off remaking maps if you want to port, like Syncronyze did for the egypt stage in surf_meme.

Thank you for the help guys, I will definitely try it out! I will see what I can do, although the maps will need some editing to play it on source I think!
